I did not know Julia, nor did I read her blog during her cancer battle. However my 7 year old son and I just watched her video by 100 Huntley Street. I loved her reflections on what cancer has taught her and today she was able to share with my son the importance of prayer and how God very deeply cares for all of our needs. Her life was short but not meaningless. She ran her race well. Grief in death is really very ironic. Here on earth we are left with separation and sadness about that separation and the love we can no longer express to that person we miss. However she is not sad at all! I pray that your grief is mixed with deep joy for Julia. That God would wrap His arms around your family and friends and teach you the truths of 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. Be blessed

Andy … You don’t know how much Julia’s Blog has moved me. She and you have been such an inspiration to my heart and my relationship with our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Throughout this past year I listened to music and watched videos of Joey and Rory Feek … and regularly checked Julia’s blog on her time she spent with the Lord. As my tears for your pain and loss flow, I realize more and more that HIS Grace is Sufficient for us! What a Loving God!
Life is difficult at times but we have HIM to count on, to take us through the pits of anguish, troubled times and hard lessons. Julia has truly caused me to reflect on what our God has done for me!
Thanks Julia and Andy!

Know that you and your family is lifted to the Lord in prayer in your sorrow.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-17
13 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 15 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. “

Dear Andy and family,
You don’t know me personally nor have I met you or Julia. However I have been following her blog since a mutual friend of ours posted about Julia’s blog a while ago. God had and is using you and her and all that God has been teaching you both to instruct me and teach me more about God. Who He is, who I am in His eyes and how He is to be trusted particularly when things don’t go the way we think they should.
While this time is difficult and seems to go by so very fast, know that many prayers are being prayed for you and your family during this time and especially afterwards when you feel the loss more, the times you’ll feel alone, the sorrow and the grief. May our gracious Father wrap you in His comforting arms, may the Holy Spirit bring words of comfort, peace, and rest! Remember He is with you through this and He does relate! God isn’t far from you! May previous memories of time spent with Julia being you joy, peace, and eventually smiles to your face. I am rejoicing that this isn’t the end, that she is home with our Saviour! Praying these next few days specifically. Job 6:10, 2 Corinthians 1:1-6.
